The work we produce is physical, filmic, and funny.
Using just performers and the audience's imagination; we create entertaining, compelling and epic stories on stage. Through referencing popular and cult culture genres we push the boundaries of theatre to create dynamic, ambitious, and cinematic shows. We believe theatre can be a really good night out.
MEET THE TEAM
Lewis Doherty
Creative Director
Lewis is an East Midlands based actor, writer and theatre-maker. After studying Drama & Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham he then trained as an actor at the Oxford School of Drama. Lewis has starred in Hood Documentary (BBC) and Enterprice (BBC), and was one quarter of award-winning sketch comedy group Laughing Stock.
As the writer and creator of The Beast Trilogy; Lewis has received critical success with his shows ‘WOLF’ and ‘BOAR’, which both sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe before successfully touring to UK theatres and festivals including The Lowry Salford, The Other Room Cardiff, The North Wall Oxford, Nottingham Playhouse, Birmingham REP, Latitude Festival, and Soho Theatre.
Elaine Williamson
Producer
Elaine is a creative producer and engagement specialist based in Nottingham, with an interest in community work that empowers and engages participants with a sense of place. Keen to explore the relationship of artists and creative practitioners within communities, Elaine has previously worked with Sheffield Theatres, 14:18 NOW, Slung Low, Journeys Festival International (ArtReach) and Soft Touch Arts.
Working alongside Lewis, Elaine leads on the producing of 'The Beast Trilogy' of shows, audio work, and the audience engagement, education activity and writing commissions developed by BEASTHOUSE.
